About

My name is Greg Depp and I have been a software engineer in the Operating Systems and Storage space for over 30 years, working for such well known companies as Digital Equipment Corporation, GTE Laboratories and EMC.

For quite a long time, I’ve been “Daddy Help desk” to my kids (and their friends), as well as the family help desk for my extended family and friends.

This blog is my answer to questions and concerns that family and friends raise about various technology issues.  Many of these issues are mundane, like how to configure a router or where to go for help for performance issues on a computer.  Others are issues are complex, where education is crucial, such as how to safely transact business on-line while traveling.

The goal of this blog is to provide the resources to encourage the technologically hungry to fish!
