Adobe Flash vulnerability

There is another “day zero” vulnerability that has been found in Adobe Flash.  Like previous ones, it can give complete control of your computer to a hacker.  I found the alert on macrumors.com.

flashiconThe vulnerability is in all versions of Flash Player up to 12.0.0.43 and impacts both Macs and Windows.  For Linux machines, Flash Player up to 11.2.202.335 is impacted.

Adobe has provided a fix.  For the Mac, bring up your System Preferences window and click on Flash Player.  From there, see if you’re running 12.0.0.44.  You should have your system set to automatically update Flash.

For Windows, open your Control Panel and click on Flash Player.  Click on the Advanced tab and again insure that you’re running 12.0.0.44.  Again, you should have the system set to automatically update Flash.

In either case, if you are running any version earlier than 12.0.0.44, you should update immediately.
